This is a bag I made aboard ship in 1975.
It is all flat seamed and still in good condition. It has served me well.
The bag was made with ships bolt of duck canvas. Most ships I sailed on had a bolt of duck should there be a burial at sea.
The handles are stitched to the sides of the bag and can only be seen on the inside. They don't extend underneath the bag.
