Bell's Whisky Bar Bottle

This is a large bar bottle that once contained Bell's whisky.  The 1 litre gin bottle is for scale.

The cord used is mostly 2.5mm. polyester. At the neck is a Pineapple knot and the stopper is a 16-strand LLK made with type 1 paracord.

I started the square knotting with 40 strands then added another 40 below the shell knots and finally another 40 (white) giving 120 strands for the main design which required a multiple of 12 for the all round pattern.

The base features one of Skip Pennock's circular mats. This one took some time!

I've just finished this bottle. The main design is a system of Spanish Hitching based loosely on ABOK 3553 and 3555.

It allows working with "rows" rather than a continuous spiral. This means that, for an all round pattern, the start and end of each row will meet with no ambiguity.

ZIGZAG Design Covered Bottle

This ZIGZAG pattern was made with 48 strands.

Harlequin Design covered Bottle

The main section of this bottle is comprised of 96 strands.
There are eight different colours.
It presented a few problems but all came good in the end!
